Heavy Rain, Thunderstorms In Tuesday Forecast: See Latest Timing

It's another wet day in Pennsylvania.

Heavy rain and severe storms are possible Tuesday across Eastern Pennsylvania, with some severe thunderstorm warnings already being issued in parts of the region.

Expect rain in the morning, with a 60 percent chance of thunderstorms for the Philadelphia region, the National Weather Service said. A severe storm was reported earlier in the morning, prompting warnings in Reading, Wyomissing and Blandon.

A second round of isolated severe storms is possible in the afternoon. Localized flash flooding is possible, the NWS forecast said.

After this round of storms moves through, expect warmer temperatures to arrive. Dry conditions will remain through the end of the week, with another round of wet weather possible starting Friday.

"Much of the Northeast should be able to enjoy a two- to three-day stretch with no rain from Wednesday to Friday this week," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Brett Anderson said.

Wednesday and Thursday will see warmups. Thursday in particular will likely see highs around 90 along the I-95 corridor.

Today: Showers likely before 11 am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 80. East wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 59. West wind around 5 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 82. West wind 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday Night: Clear, with a low around 64. Southwest wind around 5 mph.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 88. West wind 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 64.

Friday: A chance of showers after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Friday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 63. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Saturday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 75. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
