Home Prices Increased More Than $20K In These PA Counties Since 2022

The counties surrounding Philadelphia have all seen typical home price increases in the past 12 months, Zillow data shows.

PENNSYLVANIA — Buying a house in three southeastern Pennsylvania counties is at least $22,000 more expensive now than it was last fall, according to Zillow housing market data.

Across the state, home prices have increased 4 percent since last year, the real estate marketing company said. Patch crunched the numbers to see which counties are seeing prices increase at the highest rate, and which are increasing more slowly or decreasing. We also included the changes in dollar amounts, to reflect the typical dollar amount changes that buyers, sellers, and realtors are seeing.

The counties surrounding Philadelphia County have all seen increases in the past 12 months, ranging from about $17,000 in Delaware County to about $26,000 in Chester County, data from Zillow shows. Typical home prices in Philadelphia County decreased more than $5,500 since last September, data shows.

The most expensive county to buy a home in Pennsylvania right now is Chester County, where typical home prices were $511,140 at the beginning of September, Zillow data shows.
