Home Prices Rose 8 Percent In This PA County Since Last Summer: Explore Data By County
Several counties saw typical home value increases of $18,000 or more from July 2022 to July 2023.
PENNSYLVANIA — Home prices rose in 52 of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties since last summer, jumping 8 percent in one county from July 2022 to July 2023 based on the most recently-available data from Zillow.
Every month, the real estate website updates its Zillow Home Value Index, which is a measure of the typical home value and market changes across a given region and housing type. The ZHIV reflects the typical value for homes in the 35th to 65th percentile range.
The most recently-available data is through July 2023, and shows that the largest percentage change for typical home values from year to year was in Mifflin County, an 8.06 percent increase. The largest dollar amount change from July to July was in Chester County, where typical home prices rose $21,983.

Overall in Pennsylvania, Zillow shows the average home price is $257,797 (up 2.6 percent over the past year), and homes for sale go to pending in an average of 7 days.
