Patch crunched the numbers to find where renters are paying the most around the Keystone State.

PENNSYLVANIA — Renters in some Pennsylvania towns pay more than $3,000 a month for housing, according to newly-released data from the U.S. Census.

The 2022 American Community Survey includes town-by-town information on renting, showing where people in each state pay the most and least for their rental bills each month.

Patch crunched the numbers to find where renters are paying the most around the Keystone State, and found the highest costs are mostly concentrated in suburban counties outside major cities. There are some more rural areas where people are paying more than $2,000 in rent and other costs, too.
