No Flags Or Fireworks: What Nationwide July 4 Protests Mean For PA
Groups are mobilizing protests against President Trump's administration, with some calling for a boycott of parades and fireworks.
Another wave of rallies and protests are being planned over the 4th of July holiday weekend against President Donald Trump's administration, including boycotts of traditional parades and fireworks that celebrate America.
The group Indivisible, the grassroots organization that orchestrated the "No Kings" demonstrations on June 14, is joining with other activist groups like Women's March to make July 4 a day of defiant messaging aimed at the current government.
It comes just weeks after the "No Kings" events brought out an estimated more than five million people on the president's birthday which also coincided with a massive military parade to celebrate 250 years of the U.S. Army and Flag Day.

While organized protests are not planned in nearly as many communities as the "No Kings" day a few weeks ago, the announced boycotts could lead to less participation and crowds at fireworks events and parades.
