This PA City Was Among The Most Popular Markets On Zillow In 2024

A Pennsylvania city was among the top 10 "most popular markets" for the real estate website Zillow in 2024.

Allentown was ranked 6th on the list, which was created using housing metrics that reflect consumer demand, including pageview traffic, home value growth and how quickly homes sell. Zillow said it analyzed cities with a population of at least 100,000 people.

Overall, Zillow said the Northeast dominated Zillow’s list of most popular markets for the second consecutive year.

The most popular market for 2024 was Manchester, New Hampshire.

"The majority of this year’s most popular cities were exurbs — smaller towns situated beyond the suburbs yet within commuting distance of a major metropolitan area. The increase in hybrid work models is likely contributing, leading more people to discover hidden gem cities that they may have previously overlooked when daily commutes were standard. These communities strike a balance of affordable living and lifestyle amenities," Zillow said in a summary.

Another Pennsylvania town was cited in the ranking.

Elizabethtown was named as "Zillow’s most popular small town of 2024." Small towns were defined as having a population of no more than 20,000 people, Zillow said.
