PA Dad Of 15 Killed By Lightning Strike
Daryl Lewis, a lifelong truck driver, was struck by lightning after his tractor-trailer broke down on Interstate 75.
DRAVOSBURG, PA — A Pennsylvania man and father of 15 died last week after he was struck by lightning while trying to fix his tractor-trailer on the side of an Ohio highway.
Truck driver Daryl Lewis, 50, was driving on Interstate 75 near Sidney, Ohio, when his truck broke down, wife Tanya Lewis told Pittsburgh's Action News 4. He was struck by lightning after he left the truck to fix the issue, Tanya told the news station.
Bystanders and first responders quickly came to Daryl's aid, a friend wrote on a GoFundMe page for the Lewis family. He was taken to the hospital and eventually transferred to a trauma center in Dayton.

Daryl died the next day, according to the GoFundMe page.
He left behind 15 children and three grandchildren.

"(We're) broken, very broken," Tanya told Action 4 News. "He was our everything, he was our easy. If he could do it, if it was in his power, he did it. Anybody needed help he'd stop whatever he was doing for himself to go do it for them."
A GoFundMe page was set up to help the Lewis family with medical bills, funeral expenses and to help provide for his family.
