Patch communities around Pennsylvania are holding parades, fireworks, and commemorations of Independence Day. Here's the schedule:

PENNSYLVANIA — Fireworks, parades, and historical re-enactments will take place across Pennsylvania this upcoming weekend in celebration of July 4, and America declaring itself an independent nation almost 250 years ago.

Independence Day is Tuesday, July 4. Communities up and down Pennsylvania are preparing to celebrate the nation’s independence in a state that hosted many great minds of the American Revolution during the war, and while the upstart United States built its foundations.

Allegheny Co.

Dormont

  • Dormont Day July 4 celebration, featuring live music by the Smeres and Justin Fabus Band. Food and grab bags will be available for purchase including Tom's Diner on Wheels and other eats, as well as cool treats and a stop from Kona Ice.
  • Music begins at 7 p.m. with Zambelli Fireworks around 9:30 p.m.

Pittsburgh

  • Pittsburgh's Independence Day celebration at The Point will be a family-style picnic complete with patriotic music and food vendors with fireworks after. There also will be cannon-firing, along with local and nationally touring acts across three stages in Point State Park, the North Shore Great Lawn and Liberty Avenue.

Pittsburgh-North Shore

  • "Explosive Science" at the science center allows you to get a great seat for the Pittsburgh fireworks show, and tickets include a movie and popcorn in The Rangos Giant Cinema, live entertainment, a cash bar, four floors of exhibits, and theater shows.
  • 6 p.m. - 11 p.m.
  • Carnegie Science Center, 1 Allegheny Ave., Pittsburgh

Ross Township

  • Parade, fair, and fireworks. Festivities move to the municipal center after the parade from St. John's Church to the Perrysville Fire Department. Activities include live music, food trucks, a balloon artist, strolling magic, face painting, airbrush tattoos and a petting zoo, with fireworks to follow.
  • July 2, parade at 2 p.m. with the event at the municipal center beginning at 5 p.m. and fireworks at 9:30.

Bucks Co.

Bensalem

  • Free family fun in the Picnic Grove, and food and drink specials. DJ Tonka will be in attendance.
  • Tuesday, July 4. Gates open at 11 a.m. and the first post is 12:55 p.m.
  • Parx Racing, Street Road, Bensalem

Doylestown

  • Fonthill Castle is celebrating Independence Day from 12-4 p.m. with a day of a day of fun, food, games, crafts, entertainment and live music.
  • July 4 from 12-4 p.m. Admission: $5 for adults, $1 for youth (ages 6-17), and free for children 5 and under.
  • Enter at Swamp Road (Rt. 313) entrance, between North Street and East Court Street, and follow parking signs.

Levittown

  • “C is for Celebrate” fireworks display
  • June 28 - July 4

Lower Southampton Twp.

  • The Lower Southampton Fourth of July Independence Day Parade
  • 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 4. (Rain date is Saturday, July 8.)
  • Parade starts on Bustleton Pike in Feasterville and ends at the Lower Southampton School at School Lane.

Northampton

  • 16th annual Patriotic Concert, a free show which includes musical tributes to notable rock figures and Broadway musicals of American history.
  • 7 p.m. July 3

Upper Black Eddy

  • "Concert Under the Stars" with the Riverside Symphonia.
  • July 1 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the gate. Tickets for children ages 7 to 18 are $10.

Upper Southampton Twp.

  • The 50th Annual Southampton Days Country Fair (Events, Parade, Fireworks).
  • July 3 to 8. On July 4, a baby parade starts at 9 a.m. followed by the main parade at 9:30 p.m. kicks off the day at 9 a.m., followed by the main parade at 9:30 a.m. Firework show at 9:30 p.m.
  • Second Street Pike, Churchville.

Washington Crossing

  • Colonial Field Day (July 1), where you can play popular games from the 18th century, including cup and ball, Jacob’s Ladder, hoop and stick, and more.
  • Living History on the Fourth at Washington Crossing Historic Park. Visitors can explore a military encampment and watch Colonial townspeople demonstrate and sell their crafts. Readings of the Declaration of Independence will take place at 12:30, 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30 p.m.
  • Colonial Field Day is 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 1; Living History, Noon-4 p.m., July 4.
  • Washington Crossing Historic Park, Upper Makefield Township

Yardley

Tredyffrin Twp.

  • Tredyffrin Township 4th of July Celebration. Chester County Concert Band will entertain before the fireworks begin. Food trucks will be available.

Ambler

  • Kiwanis Carnival and Fireworks, a five-night event featuring numerous community events, games, music, food, and more, all in support of local youth programs. Wristbands available for purchase online.
  • Carnival is from 6-10 p.m. on July 4-7, with fireworks on Friday, July 7 at 9 p.m.
  • Wissahickon High School, 521 Houston Road, Ambler PA

Garrett Hill-Rosemont

  • Parade with decorated bicycles and floats. Food, games, and entertainment will follow the parade at Clem Macrone Park.
  • Tuesday, July 4
  • Registration begins at 9:30 a.,m. at Rosemont Business Campus, 919 Conestoga Road. The parade begins at 10:45 at the corner of Williams and Conestoga roads. It ends at Clem Macrone Park, 810 Conestoga Road.

Glenside

  • The organizes some of the largest and longest running 4th of July celebrations in Montgomery County, with the parade ongoing since 1904.
  • July 4. Fireworks are scheduled "after dark" at Abington Junior and Senior High Schools. At 10 a.m., a Children's Morning Program will be held at Renninger Memorial Park
    At 4 p.m., the 1.5 mile parade will begin. A full route is available online here.

Limerick

  • Waltz Golf Farm, 303 W. Ridge Pike, Limerick, PA.
  • 7 p.m. music begins and the annual fireworks follow at dark on Tuesday, July 4.

There will be music played by the band Whiskey Grin, and food trucks. Fireworks begin at dusk. Half-price mini golf after the show, and free parking. Donations for Limerick Fire Co. greatly appreciated.

Lower Providence

  • 27th All-American Fireworks Celebration
  • 7 p.m. on July 4
  • Eagleville Park, 100 Parklane Drive

Narberth

  • Carnival and games with food and music followed by fireworks in the evening.
  • Tuesday, July 4, carnival, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., concert and fireworks, 7 to 10 p.m.
  • Narberth Park: 80 Windsor Ave., Narberth.

Norristown

  • Parade, music, and fun with fireworks later on at 10 p.m.
  • Parade starts at 10 a.m., traveling from St. Francis Church to Dekalb and Main.
  • Music begins at 3 p.m. during Party in the Park at Elmwood Park on Harding Blvd.

Pottstown

  • Pottstown Go-Fourth. There will be a parade, street festival, live music, and fireworks, More information is available here.
  • Noon on Tuesday, July 4

Radnor

  • Garrett Hill-Rosemont Parade with decorated bicycles and floats. Food, games, and entertainment will follow the parade at Clem Macrone Park.
  • Tuesday, July 4

Skippack Twp.

  • Skippack Village's annual Independence party features a parade, barbecue, crafts, drink vendors, and fireworks
  • Fair begins at 11 a.m. on July 4 followed by fireworks at dusk.
  • Downtown Skippack and Palmer Park

Upper Merion Township

  • July 4 celebration with games, rides, and family fun, ending in a fireworks display
  • Tuesday, July 4, 5 to 9 p.m.
  • Heuser Park, 649 W. Beidler Road, King of Prussia.

Upper Salford Twp.

  • Upper Salford's 35th Annual Red, White and Blue Parade
  • Tuesday, July 4 at 10 a.m.
  • Registration is at 9:15 a.m. near the bottom of Potato Road in Upper Salford, if you want to compete for a prize with your parade entry The parade begins at 10 a.m. at the corner of Old Skippack Pike and Potato Road in Salfordville and continues east down Old Skippack Pike to the Upper Salford Firehouse.
