Wealthiest PA Counties: Where High Earners Live Around The State
Patch took a look at the most recently-released Census data to find out which counties have the highest concentrations of rich residents.
PENNSYLVANIA — New data from the U.S. Census shows that almost a quarter of households in one Pennsylvania county had a household income of $200,000 or more last year.
An analysis by World Population Review earlier this year showed that 7.1 percent of Keystone State households make this amount or more per year – categorized as high income earners. And with the state’s median household income at $71,798, these high earners bring in almost triple what the average Pennsylvanian makes.
Patch took a look at the most recently-released Census data to find out which counties have the highest concentrations of rich residents. This is median household income for 2022, as reported in the Census’ American Communities Survey panel.
