Winning Powerball Ticket Sold In PA As Jackpot Swells To $1.7B
There were no jackpot winners in the drawing, which means it has now swelled to $1.7 billion.

A Pennsylvania lottery player has won $1 million after matching five of six numbers in the Powerball drawing on Wednesday. There were no jackpot winners in the drawing, which means the grand prize has now swelled to $1.7 billion.
The location of the winning ticket was not immediately revealed. The winning numbers were 3, 16, 29, 61, and 69. The Powerball was 22.
No one has won the Powerball jackpot since May, when a ticket worth $207 million was sold at a convenience store in California. The last time a Powerball jackpot was won in Pennsylvania was in August 2024.

Several other players in Pennsylvania have gotten lucky playing Powerball in recent days. On Saturday, a ticket sold in Pequea Township matched all five of the white balls to win $1 million.
Then, on Monday, a Powerball ticket sold at an Acme store in Lower Merion Township also won $1 million.

The next Powerball drawing is Saturday night at 10:59 p.m. Tickets must be purchased by 9:59 p.m. in Pennsylvania.
The $1.7 billion jackpot is the third-largest in U.S. history. The other two were a $2.04 billion jackpot in 2022 and a $1.765 million jackpot in 2023.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Powerball number are 1 in 292.2 million, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 24.9.
