1950s 'Sock Hop' To Be Held In Blue Bell
An Elvis impersonator, former American Bandstand dancers, and a heavy dose of nostalgia.
BLUE BELL, PA — Local residents in a retirement community will be treated to a heavy dose of nostalgia this month when a 1950s style "sock hop" is held in Blue Bell.
Blue Bell Place, located on 777 Dekalb Pike, is organizing the event.
It will feature Elvis impersonator Jeff Krick, Jr., former American Bandstand dancers, live music, and more.

Organizers say the event will particularly delight one resident, Janice Spivack, who is an avid fan of Elvis.
"She has collected Elvis memorabilia over the years including pillows, blankets, and much more," Blue Bell Place said. "She will bring a large cardboard cut-out of the star to the event for everyone to enjoy. Two other residents attending the sock hop were dancers on American Bandstand."

Residents are encouraged to wear 1950s attire for the event, which also feature a diner-themed menu with milkshakes and French fries.
