1 Rescued After Fire In Lower Gwynedd, Investigation Underway
State and local fire marshal offices are investigating the cause of the blaze that ripped through a local home late Sunday night.
LOWER GWYNEDD TOWNSHIP, PA — A home in Lower Gwynedd Township was severely damaged and a resident and dog were rescued after a fire late Sunday night.
State and local fire marshal offices are continuing to investigate the cause, which has not yet been identified.
The incident began at around 9:30 p.m. on the 400 block of Hoover Avenue.

The Wissahickon Fire Company and other responding departments were on scene for around three hours.
Firefighters were able to rescue one of the residents that was stuck inside. That person was taken to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.

A family dog was also rescued and was taken to Hickory Veterinary and Specialty Hospital in Plymouth Meeting for further treatment and care.
