2 Ambler And Norristown Nonprofits, Food Pantries To Merge
Two of the region's largest organizations fighting homelessness and hunger will merge, officials announced.
AMBLER, PA — Two of the Philadelphia area's largest nonprofits supporting homeless populations and fighting hunger are merging together to create a stronger entity, they announced this week.
The Ambler based Family Promise Montco PA and the Norristown-based Family Promise of the Main Line will officially unite on July 1, spokespersons for each organization confirmed. The new organization will be retain the name Family Promise Montco PA.
Services will continue uninterrupted at each location in Ambler and Norristown, as well as the food pantry in Roslyn.

"This merger represents a powerful promise in our shared mission to improve housing stability and empower families to rebuild their lives with dignity,” executive director Marsha Eichelberger said in a statement. “Together, we are stronger, more resilient, and better equipped to meet the growing needs of our community."
The nonprofits said the merger will allow them to expand their reach and enhance services to healthy food, safe housing, and more.

The merger will create a new leadership team drawn from both organizations.
