2 Convicted In Ambler Home Invasion, Kidnapping; 2 Remain Wanted

Two men remain wanted in a 2023 home invasion kidnapping in Ambler, police said.

AMBLER, PA — Two of the suspects involved in kidnapping an Ambler resident during a home invasion in 2023 have been convicted, while two more suspects remain on the run, police said.

Beheejah Alwan pleaded guilty to burglary, robbery, and kidnapping and will be sentenced in the coming weeks. Officials said "she is looking at a significant amount of time in state prison." And Samaj Dawkins pleaded guilty to conspiracy to burglary, robbery, and kidnapping. He was sentenced to three to six years behind bars.

The incident occurred on Feb. 21, 2023 on the 200 block of S. Maple Ave.

Dawkins and Alwan, along with Philadelphia residents Terrell Watkins and Deonte Davis, broke into the victim's home, robbed them, and then drove them to Philadelphia where they ultimately escaped, police said.

Ambler Police and Montgomery County Detectives embarked on a lengthy investigation, gathering physical and video evidence and interviewing witnesses, to build their case and identify the suspects. However, Watkins and Davis remain on the run.
