Ambler Council Votes 5-2 to Approve 2014 Budget

The budget has a projected general fund of $9.023 million.

On Dec. 17, Ambler Borough Council voted 5-2 to approve a $9 million budget for 2014 with no tax increase.
Councilors Fran Tomlinson and Tom Kenney were the dissenting votes. Ed Curtis and Claudio Zaccone were absent, according to The Ambler Gazette.
The millage rate remains at 6.78 mills; a mill is $1 in taxes for every $1,000 in assessed value.
The last time the tax rate increased was last year. Real estate taxes were also increased in 2009 and 2010, per the article.
