Beloved Ambler Eatery Shutting Down, New Joint Coming
Main Street Ambler will see some major changes this winter.
AMBLER, PA — One of the Ambler area's beloved local establishments is closing up shop, and changes are coming to Ambler's Main Street.
It's the end of the line for The Lucky Well, the 111 E. Butler Avenue barbeque and whisky specialty eatery. Chef Chad Rosenthal said that economic concerns have forced the business to change.
"The challenges of the past few years, especially in the aftermath of the pandemic, have urged us to reevaluate and adapt," he shared in a statement, adding "This is not a goodbye to Ambler but rather a transformation to embrace new, smarter, and healthier opportunities for us."

The closing date will be Dec. 31. The building has already been sold to longstanding area Mexican chain Cantina Feliz, which will open up there in 2024, Rosenthal said.
Meanwhile, Rosenthal said that Lucky Well will concentrate now on delivering high quality BBQ directly to people's homes.
