Musician Mabert Anderson, celebrated her 100th birthda with a concert at the Blue Bell retirement community featuring local piano students.

Blue Bell, Pa.– For Blue Bell Place resident Mabert Anderson, music has been key to enjoying a long and happy life. Anderson, who has played the piano since grade school, earned a music degree in 1943 from West Chester University and is a former elementary school music teacher.
This month, Anderson turned 100 years old, and her family, fellow residents, and associates at the Watermark Community were thrilled to celebrate this occasion with a concert featuring piano students from Miss Olga Smirnova's Piano Studio. The talented young musicians played special songs for Anderson, and she took a turn “tickling the ivories,” too.
Besides a classic rendition of “Happy Birthday,” the students honored Anderson by playing her favorite hymn, “Amazing Grace.” Students from the piano studio have previously bonded with Anderson on prior visits, making this an extra special concert. Seven students from Miss Olga Smirnova's Piano Studio performed at the concert, demonstrating their talents and celebrating Anderson's special day.
