Donations Sought for Care of Abandoned Kittens
Blue Bell resident Nicole Lasorda has been playing foster mom to a litter of six kittens found in August in Norristown. One needed major surgery. Lasorda is raising $3,000 toward their care through GoFundMe.

In late August 2013, Blue Bell resident Nicole Lasorda unexpectedly became the new foster mom to a litter of six kittens found on the street in Norristown.
Before she could adopt them out, however, the kittens needed some extra special TLC. And Lasorda was unsure if she could afford it on her own.
Thus, she headed to GoFundMe and began a campaign to raise money for their care. One kitten named Sammy successfully came out of surgery at the end of October to remove one eye. The bill was in excess of $2,000.
Since August, Lasorda has raised $815 toward the $3,000 goal.
Lasorda said that every little bit helps.
"I promise the money donated will only go to the care of the kittens and any left over will be donated to area shelters," she wrote in the GoFundMe campaign.
