Drug Charges for Couple Found With Syringes, Suspected Heroin Outside Deck Motel: Police

Whitpain Township Police have charged a man and woman with drug possession charges after an alleged drug bust outside Deck Motel Dec. 1.
Police said at 8:51 p.m. Dec. 1, an officer was patrolling through the parking lot of the motel at 602 DeKalb Pike and stopped to check a suspicious silver Pontiac.
The driver was identified as David Wood, 25, of the 1200 block of Bethlehem Pike, and the passenger was Tara Leedom, 27, who was staying at the motel, police said.
A search of the couple found syringes allegedly in their possession, police said. One syringe had a liquid believed to be heroin, police said. Leedom also allegedly had Suboxone with a prescription, police said.
Both were charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia, police said.
Wood was taken to Montgomery County Correctional Facility on a detainer from Montgomery County Adult Probation, police said.
