Drunken Man Makes Himself Vomit in Cop Car, Police Say
Public drunkenness, underage drinking, DUI and theft top Whitpain Township police reports.

Public Drunkenness and Criminal Mischief
Christopher Gring, 29, of the 2500 block of S. Parkview Dr. in Norristown was arrested for Criminal Mischief, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct and Public Drunkenness on March 16 at 2:25 a.m., according to Whitpain Police.
An officer on patrol in the area of Oak Street and Railroad Avenue saw Gring stumble as he was walking in the middle of Oak Street in the West Ambler section of Whitpain Township, according to reports. When the officer stopped to speak to him, it was "obvious that he was intoxicated," police said.

Reports note that the officer was taking Gring into custody he began to "fight with officers and then kick the inside of the door of the police car causing damage to the door." Gring was placed in a cell until he could be arraigned.
While in custody, police determined that Gring had three outstanding warrants and was on probation in Montgomery County. A "detainer" was placed on Gring by Adult Probation and when he was removed from his cell he was and advised he was being taken to Montgomery County Correctional Facility on the "detainers," said reports.

"He began to berate the officers and then began to try and gag himself in an attempt to make himself vomit," said reports. Officers removed him from the station and he again began to berate the officers and eventually did vomit in the rear of the police van, police said.
DUI and Underage Drinking
On March 23 at 2:36 a.m., a silver Chevy was stopped in the area of Dekalb Pike and Swede Road for traffic violations. During the stop, the driver who was identified as Kayla Campbell, 19, of the 300 block of Cattail Court in Pennsburg appeared intoxicated. She was taken to Mercy Suburban Hospital for blood and charges of DUI and traffic offenses will be filed upon receipt of blood results.
Four of the other five occupants of the car were all arrested for Underage Drinking, police said. They included: Paige Allison, 18, 200 block of Liberty Ave. in Norristown; Shayne Krail, 19, of the 200 block of Fieldcrest Ave. in Norristown; Samantha Ussia, 20, of the 200 block of Birch Drive in Lafayette Hill; and Eric Davis, 20, of the 200 block of E. Spruce St. in Norristown. The fifth occupant was 21 yrs old.
Retail Theft, Disorderly, Possession
On March 24 at 8:11 p.m., officers were called to Kohl’s Department Store, 1301 Skippack Pike where the Loss Prevention Officer had Nichole Assalone, 26, of the 400 block of Pinecrest Road in Norristown, in custody for Retail Theft. Police arrested Assalone after she attempted to steal $85 worth of jewelry items, according to reports. She was also cited for Disorderly Conduct for possessing a small amount of marijuana.
