Sexual Selfies At Montco Park Leads To Charges: Police

Kyle Jordan, 26, of Ambler, faces charges of open lewdness and tampering with evidence after police said he took sexual photos in public.

LOWER GWYNEDD, PA — Local police say a Montgomery County man took sexual pictures of himself in front of others at a township park and then deleted the images when confronted by investigators.

Kyle Louis Jordan, 26, of Ambler, is facing misdemeanor charges of open lewdness and tampering with evidence, in addition to a summary count of disorderly conduct-obscene language and gestures in connection with an incident that took place at a public park in Lower Gwynedd earlier this month, according to court records and media reports.

Police were dispatched to Pen Ambler Park on Sept. 7 a little after 12 noon after reports of a man who was taking inappropriate photos of himself in front of a mother and her young child, according to a report on NorthPennNow, which cited police charging documents outlining the circumstances surrounding the case.

The story says that the woman noticed Jordan pulling his pants down and acting a though he was taking a photograph of his genitals.

Jordan reportedly told responding police that he was taking pictures of himself to send to a friend, but when officers asked to see the photos, Jordan reportedly deleted the images from his phone, according to the report.

Records from Magisterial District Court show that Lower Gwynedd Police filed criminal charges against Jordan on Sept. 20.

The docket sheet shows that the charges were filed via summons, meaning Jordan has not yet come before a local judge for arraignment.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Oct. 27 before Magisterial District Judge Suzan Leonard.
