Man Wanted For Robbery In Ambler And Philly Murder Captured: Feds

U.S. Marshals tracked the man to a home in North Carolina, where they said he barricaded himself in the attic.

AMBLER, PA — A man wanted for murder, robbery, and kidnapping incidents that occurred across northern Philadelphia and Montgomery County has been captured in North Carolina, authorities announced Thursday.

Deonte Davis, 27, was tracked to a home in Durham, where U.S. Marshals said he barricaded himself inside the attic. Officers used chemical agents to get him out and into custody.

In April 2023, Philadelphia police said Davis and another man attacked 33-year-old Seitu Harris as he left a Cricket Wireless store.

On Sept. 14, 2023 separate robbery and kidnapping charges were filed against Davis by Ambler borough police.

Authorities did not elaborate on specifics of the Ambler charges.

Davis is currently being extradited back to Pennsylvania. A preliminary hearing is forthcoming.
