MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — A winning lottery ticket worth $100,000 that was sold in Montgomery County nearly a year ago has yet to be claimed, and state lottery officials are urging folks to check their tickets to see if they're holding the big winner.

The prize must be claimed by the end of the business day on Sept. 20, giving the winning player just over a month by which to come forward.

Lottery officials said that under Pennsylvania law, expired lottery prizes remain in the state's lottery fund and are used to support programs that benefit older residents.

Players are urged to check their tickets, and if the numbers are a match, sign the back of the ticket and contact the Pennsylvania Lottery at 1-800-692-7481.
