Read-A-Thon Fundraiser to be Held at Wissahickon Valley Public Library
Volunteers will take turns reading to children over a 12 hour period on March 9.

The Wissahickon Valley Public Library will host a 12-hour Read-a-Thon Fundraiser on Saturday, March 9, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., in an effort to encourage reading and help raise money for the library.
The event will feature a non-stop stream of volunteers – including Ambler Borough Councilwoman Pat Strus – taking turns reading to children in 15 minute intervals. A parallel telethon will be held on site as well, allowing local residents to phone in their donations.
The fundraiser will be held at the Wissahickon Valley Public Library's Blue Bell site, which is located at 650 Skippack Pike. For more info on the Read-a-Thon, visit the WVPL by clicking here.
