Thousands Without Power In Ambler, Whitpain Friday
Torrential rain and powerful winds have wreaked havoc on the Montgomery County electrical grid as the threat of tornadoes looms.

AMBLER, PA — Hundreds of people lost power Friday morning in Ambler, Whitpain, and the surrounding area as the remnants of Tropical Storm Debby brought powerful winds and torrential rain into the region.
In Ambler, 360 residents are without power. In Whitpain Township, that number is up to 1,489, as of just before noon Friday.
Restoration times range from hours to days.

All told across Montgomery County, 6,685 residents are without power.

A tornado watch is in effect until 2 p.m. Friday throughout Montgomery County and most of the Delaware Valley region.
