AMBLER, PA — Wissahickon remains among the top schools in the state, according to the latest rankings from U.S. News and World Report.
The school ranked 16th overall in Pennsylvania and third in Montgomery County, trailing only Harriton and Lower Merion high schools, which ranked 10th and 14th, respectively.
The outlet also placed Wissahickon 687th in the country.

"Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement coursework and exams," U.S. News said in their report on Wissahickon. "The AP participation rate at Wissahickon High School is 54%. The total minority enrollment is 42%, and 24% of students are economically disadvantaged."
Philadelphia's Julia R. Masterman Secondary School led Pennsylvania, while Arizona's Basis Peoria school was first in the nation.
