1 In Custody, 1 At Large After Stolen Van Chase In Lower Merion: PSP
Pennsylvania State Police said the passenger in a stolen Honda Odyssey was taken into custody, but its driver has not been found.
LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Pennsylvania State Police are looking for the driver of a stolen vehicle that fled a traffic stop in Lower Merion Township early Thursday.
According to police, the incident began at about 3:01 a.m. near mile marker 337 on Interstate 76 east in Lower Merion.
Troopers on patrol saw a blue Honda Odyssey with a dark-tinted license plate cover, but were able to read the plate.

The troopers determined the vehicle was stolen and tried to stop the van.
Police said the vehicle briefly pulled into the traffic gore are at mile marker 331.9, but when troopers approached the vehicle, it drove off.

Troopers chased the van for several miles before Precision Immobilization Technique was used to stop it, police said.
When the vehicle stopped, the driver and passenger ran off, according to authorities.
Troopers took the passenger, Nasir McQueen, of Philadelphia, into custody, but the driver was able to evade apprehension and entered a nearby wooded area, police said.
More troopers and local police searched the area for about three hours, however they were unable to find the driver.
Police said he was seen multiple times traveling eastbound along the westbound lanes of Interstate 76, but was able to evade arrest.
Local police departments were notified of the suspect’s last known location.
The Honda was impounded, and a search warrant will be executed on its contents at a later time.
