7/11 is Free Slurpee Day at 7-Eleven

Monday is national free Slurpee day at every 7-Eleven in celebration of the chain's 84th birthday.

The 7-Eleven locations for the Ardmore-Merion-Wynnewood Patch are:

• 2606 Haverford Ave., Ardmore (next to the Rusty Nail)
• 1401 City Ave., Wynnewood (at Haverford Road)

An employee at the Bryn Mawr 7-Eleven confirmed with Patch that free Slurpees would be indeed given out all day on Monday.

Each customer receives one 7.11-ounce Slurpee at no cost. A total of 5 million drinks are expected to be given away in all, according to 7-Eleven.
