Lower Merion High School's boys' basketball team, playing once again in the PIAA state championship tournament, dismantled its first opponent Saturday afternoon to set up a local matchup in the second round.
The defending state runners-up and this year's District 1 runners-up prevailed, 77-36, over District 3 qualifier Carlisle at Coatesville Area Senior High.
The Aces will next face Martin Luther King High School. The second seed from Philadelphia's District 12 beat Reading, 71-61.
