Ardmore Homes Some of the Priciest to Insure, Report Finds

Ardmore has some of the most expensive homeowner's insurance in the state.

It can be expensive to live in Ardmore.

On average, it is 28 percent more expensive to purchase homeowner’s insurance in Ardmore than it is in the rest of the state, a recent report from Value Penguin found.

The state average for homeowner’s insurance is $966 a year, Value Penguin said.

In Ardmore, the annual average cost is $1,234.

The makes Ardmore the fourth-most expensive place to insure a home in the state. Philadelphia is the most expensive place, with an average annual cost of $1,674.

The cheapest place in Pennsylvania to insure a home is State College, where the average annual cost is $827, Value Penguin said.

To compile this information, Value Penguin “studied quotes for a sample 2,000-square-foot home over 90 cities in the state in order to determine which of its cities had the highest- and lowest-annual home insurance premiums.”
