Car Catches Fire At Lower Merion Gas Station Thursday Morning
Firefighters' quick work prevented a larger fire after a vehicle at a Lower Merion gas station became engulfed in flames Thursday morning.
PENN WYNNE, PA — Quick work by local first responders prevented a disastrous emergency situation in Lower Merion Township Thursday when a car caught fire at a gas station.
According to the Penn Wynne Fire Company, crews were called to a gas station on the 1400 block of City Line Avenue for a vehicle fire at about 6:38 a.m.
Firefighters first on the scene found the vehicle engulfed in flames at a gas pump.

The blaze was quickly extinguished, leaving a charred vehicle and pump.
The Narberth Fire Company as well as Philadelphia Fire Department crews helped quell the fire.
