Concerts and Water Fights With Pirates: Main Line Events This Saturday

Here’s some of the events happening around the Main Line area on Saturday.
Valley Forge National Historical Park Summer Author Series, with Michael Milne, co-author of “Philadelphia Liberty Trail,” a guide to more than 25 landmarks in Philadelphia’s historic district. The free event is located at the Valley Forge Education Center and the Encampment Store Valley Forge, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Pirate Splash Day for Kids on the Colonial Plantation, from noon to 4 p.m. at Ridley Creek State Park, in Media. Bring your swimsuit and old shoes because wet is the theme for this special day at the Plantation. Activities include a maze, rubber ducky races, gauntlet runs and tug of war. Admission $8 for adults and children 4 and up. Children under 4 are free.

Bryn Mawr Twightlight Concerts, at the Bryn Mawr Gazebo, 9 S. Bryn Mawr Avenue. Featuring Marc Silver and the Stone Throwers. Starts at 7 p.m. Donations of $12 are welcome for guests over the age of 16. Lawn chairs and picnicking are welcome.
