Free Narcan Training For Lower Merion Residents

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Police, firefighter, EMTs, and other first responders are increasingly carrying the live-saving, opioid overdose-reversing drug Narcan as the region and nation faced an opioid epidemic.
And more and more these days, Narcan is being offered to civilians in hopes of stopping unnecessary drug deaths.
Residents in Lower Merion Township can now get free training on how to administer Narcan to someone suffering an opioid overdose.

Two sessions are being held, one on Jan. 30 and another on Feb. 13.
Both sessions are at 7 p.m. in the Lower Merion Township Building.

Each will last about an hour.
Attendees will get training on how to use Narcan and a Narcan kit to take home.
Registration is required as space is limited.
