Burglary, Stolen Packages, Vehicle Theft: Lower Merion Crime Blotter

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Lower Merion Police shared details on recent crimes that occurred in the township.

These incidents happened between Dec. 2 and Dec. 14.

Dec. 14

• Theft of Package (Bala Cynwyd) - The victim reported that a packaged delivered to the front vestibule of their apartment complex was stolen. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Dec. 13

• Theft from Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - The victim's unlocked BMW was entered and gone through this afternoon while parked along the street in front of the victim's residence. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Dec. 12

• Burglary (Gladwyne) - A male actor entered an unsecured door to a closed business and activated the security system. Upon arrival, officers took the actor into custody without incident. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
• Theft from Vehicle (Penn Valley) - The victim advised that they exited their residence during the early morning hours and observed an actor inside one of their vehicles, which was parked in the driveway of their residence. The actor left in an unknown direction. Multiple unlocked vehicles parked in the victim's driveway were entered and gone through. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
• Theft from Vehicle (Penn Valley) - While investigating the above theft, officers located an unlocked Toyota that had been entered and gone through while parked in the driveway of the victim's residence. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
• Theft from Vehicle (Belmont Hills) - The victim reported that during the overnight hours an actor attempted to enter their vehicles which were parked in their driveway at the rear of their property. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Dec. 9

• Theft of Package (Penn Valley) - The victim advised that a package delivered was stolen from the side door of their residence during the early morning hours. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
• Theft of Package (Ardmore) - The victim advised that a package delivered was stolen from the front step of their residence during the day. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Dec. 8

• Theft of Package (Ardmore) - The victim advised that a package was stolen from the front door of their residence during the afternoon. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
• Theft of Package (Penn Valley) - The victim advised that a package was stolen from the mail room of their apartment complex after being delivered. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
• Theft of Vehicle (Penn Valley) - The victim's Chevrolet was stolen from the driveway of the victim's residence during the evening hours. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
• Theft from Vehicle (Villanova) - The victim's unlocked BMW was entered and gone through overnight while parked in the driveway of the victim's residence. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

• Theft from Vehicle (Merion Station) - The victim's unlocked Alfa Romeo was entered and gone through overnight while parked in front of the victim's residence. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
