Friends' Central Basketball Coach Leaving For Job At Penn
Jason Polykoff, a Friends' Central alumnus and Amile Jefferson's coach, will be an assistant coach at Penn.

Friends' Central basketball coach Jason Polykoff will be leaving Friends' Central to take an assistant coaching job at University of Pennsylvania, Philly.com reported on Tuesday.
Polykoff is also a middle school math teacher at Friends' Central.
"In the last couple of years, I've been thinking about making coaching a full-time gig," Polykoff told Philly.com. "While it's tough to leave Friends' Central, which has been like a second home for me my whole life, this is something I'm really excited about."

The Friends' Central alumnus led his team to a 22-5 record last season. .
During Polykoff's tenure as head coach for Friends' Central, the team achieved a 113-28 record and four straight Pennsylvania Independent Schools Tournament titles, 2009 to 2012.
