Grants Available For Residential Rehabilitation Projects In Lower Merion
Read on to see some of the projects you could get funded.

Lower Merion Township property owners can now apply for a community development block grant that could fund residential rehab projects for occupied properties.
Grants are awarded based on income eligibility. The funding is provided under the CDBG program from the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Typical projects that are undertaken with CDBG funds include roofing, plumbing, heating, masonry, carpentry, and electrical work

Applicants must:
- Own and occupy their home for at least one year before applying for assistance
- Be a citizen of the United States
- Have no more than $55,000 in liquid assets unless 62 years old, then $75,000
- Own no real estate except the dwelling/property in which they live
- Provide a copy of the most recent signed federal income tax form
- Provide proof of their gross annual income based on current income as projected from the date of application 8
- Have no municipal, county, state or federal liens against the property unless there is a payment plan in place to pay off the lien(s).
