Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Event In Lower Merion Sunday

Montgomery County residents can dispose of various hazardous household materials this weekend at the Lower Merion Transfer Station.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Residents in Lower Merion Township and other Montgomery County municipalities can dispose of hazardous household waste this weekend.

A Household Hazardous Waste Collection event will take place Sunday at the Lower Merion Transfer Station, 1300 North Woodbine Ave. in Penn Valley.

The event is open to Montgomery County residents only.

Business and contractors are not permitted to dispose of items at the event.

Those who need a gas can or container returned should tape a note to it stating that you want to keep it.

Residents using the service must stay in vehicles while at the event site.

Attendees are asked to print out their tickets if possible, or write their names and appointment times on a piece of paper.

Those who cannot attend the event should cancel their appointments through the Eventbrite ticket or by emailing recycling@montcopa.org.
