Ice, Joy & Santa: Holiday Weekend Glides Into Ardmore at America’s Oldest Skating Club

The holiday season is arriving in Ardmore — and for local families, that means it’s time to lace up, bundle up, and step onto the ice.
The Philadelphia Skating Club & Humane Society — the oldest skating club in the United States — is hosting two special holiday events December 6–7. But beyond that festive weekend, the rink is open for community skating. See below for details.
Holiday Weekend Highlights
Saturday, December 6 — Toys — A Holiday Ice Show 6:00 PM • $10 Admission (children under 4 - free)

A festive performance with skaters of all ages — imaginative costumes, music, and storytelling on ice. A portion of proceeds benefits Toys for Tots.

🎅 Sunday, December 7 — Skate With Santa 1:45 PM • Admission $12 | Rentals $5
Skate and take photos with Santa Claus while holiday music fills the rink. Perfect for young skaters, families, and anyone looking for a magical afternoon.
Weekly Public Skating Sessions
Open to everyone — no membership required.
- Fridays • 8:00–9:30 PM
- Sundays • 1:45–3:15 PM (Family/Public Session)
A perfect winter outing for families, friends, teens, and anyone who wants to glide into the season.
Bonus Holiday Ice Time
In addition to Friday and Sunday sessions, enjoy two extra opportunities to skate during winter break:
- Monday, December 29 — 4:15–5:15 PM
- Tuesday, December 30 — 4:15–5:15 PM
