Leapfrog graded the facility a C in fall 2022, B in spring 2022 and fall 2021, and C in fall and spring 2020.
"We are honored to be recognized across all four of our acute care hospitals with this top grade of A," Jack Lynch, CEO and president of Main Line Health, said Wednesday. "The prestigious recognition belongs to each-and-every one of our Main Line Health staff members who provide safe, high-quality, and equitable care on a daily basis."
Main Line Health's three other facilities — Bryn Mawr Hospital, Riddle Hospital, and Paoli Hospital — all also earned A grades.
Lankenau was ranked "better than average" in numerous healthcare factors, including dangerous objects left in patients' bodies, communications, hospital staff responsiveness, adequate staffing, and more.
However, Leapfrog said Lankenau ranked "worse than average" for dangerous bed sores, patient falls and injuries, handwashing, and UTIs.
