Life-Threatening Injuries Suffered In Lower Merion Crash
A two-vehicle crash in Penn Valley late last week left one man, 77, in critical condition with life-threatening injuries, officials said.
PENN VALLEY, PA — A man is in critical condition after a two-vehicle crash in Penn Valley last week, according to Lower Merion Township officials.
The crash happened at about 9:58 a.m. Friday on the 400 block of South Woodbine Avenue.
Authorities said a 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan heading north on South Woodbine Avenue rear-ended a Honda Accord.

After the initial collision, the Tiguan continued north, lost control, veered off the roadway, struck a utility pole, and overturned.
Tiguan's driver and sole occupant, a 77-year-old man, suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to Lankenau Hospital by Narberth Ambulance.

He is listed in critical condition.
The driver and sole occupant of the Accord, a 59-year-old man, suffered minor injuries
and was also transported to Lankenau Hospital. He was treated and released.
Woodbine Avenue was closed between Cleveland Avenue and Bryn Mawr Avenue for about six and a half hours during the investigation.
This incident is under investigation by the Lower Merion Township Police Traffic Safety Unit.
