Lower Merion Commissioners Settle Lawsuit Over Ardmore Parking Lot: Report

The Lower Merion commissioners on Monday voted to settle a lawsuit challenging its development project at the Cricket Avenue parking lot.

The Lower Merion board of commissioners on Monday voted to settle a lawsuit challenging its development project at the Cricket Avenue parking lot in Ardmore, according to Main Line Media News.

The 10-1 vote, with Steven Linder of Ward 4 dissenting, reportedly ends the legal battle brought on by a group of commercial property and business owners in January, which has delayed transfer of the municipal lot to developer Dranoff Properties.

Dranoff plans a mixed-use complex at the site, dubbed One Ardmore Place, including 100 luxury apartments, retail space and a parking structure with three levels of public parking. The plaintiffs in the lawsuit stated the loss of the parking lot would hurt their businesses.
