Lower Merion Police Charge Man with Attempted Bank Robbery
Police say a Philadelphia man attempted to rob a Citizens Bank in Bala Cynwyd on March 20.

A Philadelphia man has been charged with two felony counts related to an alleged attempted bank robbery in Bala Cynwyd in March, according to Main Line Media News.
Lower Merion police say Thomas Davis, 53, of Philadelphia walked into the Citizens Bank located at 15 West City Avenue in Bala Cynwyd on March 20 and handed the teller a note demanding $2,000, according to the report.
After asking to see some ID, the teller walked away, the report says, and the man left the bank empty-handed.

Davis has been charged with two felony counts of criminal attempt by robbery and unlawful taking. He has been remanded to Montgomery County Prison, unable to post 10 percent of $25,000 bail, according to court records. His preliminary hearing is tentatively scheduled for April 21 before Judge Karen Eisner Zucker.
