Lower Merion Police's Citizens Police Academy Open For Registation

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Lower Merion Township Police have opened registration for their Spring 2025 Citizens Police Academy.
The Citizens Police Academy will run from March 3 to May 12 over 10-weeks.
Classes will be held from 6 p.m. to about 8 p.m.

Sessions will take place at the Lower Merion Police Department, at 71 E. Lancaster Ave. in Ardmore.

- Criminal Investigations
- Use of Force
- Crash Investigations/DUI
- Emergency Response Team (ERT)
- K-9 Patrol
- UAS (Drone) Overview and Demonstration
- Forensic Pathology
- Criminal Justice System
Lower Merion Police are asking only residents who can commit to attending all classes register due to limited space. A minimum of 80 percent attendance is required to graduate from the program.
The application deadline is Feb. 24. Registration is free. Applicants must be 18 or older. Residents of Lower Merion and surrounding communities are eligible to attend.
Participants will have a graduation ceremony on the final night, where they will receive a certificate of completion.
