Lower Merion Proposes Merging Public Access Channel with Radnor Team

The township's Cable Television Advisory Committee is considering a plan to bring local programming back to the airwaves.

Community members that enjoyed the local programs on the Lower Merion Township public access channel have been discouraged since the channel went off-the-air in November due to lack of funding.

The township’s Cable Television Advisory Committee is considering an option that would combine resources with Radnor Studio 21, the station that manages Radnor’s public channel, according to Main Line Media News.

According to the report, the committee directed Radnor Studio 21 and the Lower Merion Historical Society to work together to develop programming that would keep the township represented on a possible merged channel producing educational, local shows that would attract viewers on the Main Line.
