Main Line Urgent Vet Care Opens Bringing Compassionate & Caring Emergency Pet Services

Emergency Pet Care Void Now Filled in Ardmore with Main Line Urgent Vet

Main Line Urgent Vet, an independently owned, women-led veterinary practice, has officially opened its doors at 20 Woodside Ave., Ardmore, providing pet families across the Main Line with a much-needed option between routine veterinary care and emergency hospitals.

The Ardmore Business Association hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on October 3, 2025.

Founded by veterinarians Dr. Robin Goyle and Dr. Jennifer (Jenny) Graham, the practice is designed to bridge a critical gap in the veterinary system by offering immediate, high-quality care for urgent—but not always life-threatening needs.

Both Dr. Goyle and Dr. Graham bring a wealth of experience across general practice and emergency medicine. Their combined backgrounds enable them to treat a wide range of conditions, from sudden illnesses and minor injuries to complex, time-sensitive cases that require surgical intervention. Unlike many urgent care models, Main Line Urgent Vet is equipped to both stabilize patients and perform emergency procedures, ensuring pets receive timely and expert care.

“This community truly loves its pets, and we’re grateful to be part of that,” said Dr. Goyle. “We hope that Main Line Urgent Vet makes it easier for families to get the care their pets need without the long waits or stress of going to an emergency hospital.”

Dr. Graham added: “We’ve seen it happen time and again: a beloved pet suddenly becomes sick or injured, and when their family calls the regular vet, there are no appointments available. It’s a stressful moment that can leave people feeling helpless. Our goal is to offer peace of mind by providing prompt, high-quality care in a place people can trust.”

Main Line Urgent Vet was founded after both veterinarians witnessed firsthand the challenges facing pet families in today’s veterinary landscape. With many local clinics at full capacity and 24-hour ER hospitals experiencing record wait times, pet owners often struggle to find timely care. By offering extended hours, same-day treatment, and an online waiting list system to reduce in-clinic wait times, the practice brings a practical, pet- and family-friendly solution to the Main Line.

The clinic also introduces programs that reflect its founders’ deep personal philosophy of care:

  • The Angel Fund: In partnership with nonprofit myBalto, this donation-based program helps cover treatment costs for pets whose families may not be able to afford unexpected care.
  • Comfort Room & End-of-Life Support: A private, home-like space offers families peace and dignity during one of the hardest moments of pet ownership. Complimentary keepsakes such as paw prints and fur clippings are provided, while the team partners with locally owned crematorium Animal Soul for aftercare.
  • Community Art & Healing: The hospital features original artwork by local artist Jay McClellan, whose vibrant dog portraits bring joy and comfort to families and staff alike.

Dr. Robin Goyle earned her undergraduate degree from Emory University, completed her postbaccalaureate studies at the University of North Florida, and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota. After years as a general practitioner in a high-volume hybrid hospital, she became one of the most senior veterinarians on staff, mentoring younger doctors while strengthening collaboration between general practice and emergency teams.

Dr. Jennifer (Jenny) Graham graduated from Cornell University with a double major in English and Anthropology, completed her postbaccalaureate at the University of Pennsylvania, and earned her veterinary degree from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at the University of Edinburgh. Initially planning to pursue general practice, she fell in love with emergency and critical care, working on the frontlines of a 24-hour hospital during the height of COVID and mentoring new graduates entering the field.

Both doctors share a vision of veterinary medicine that is collaborative, compassionate, and client-focused—ensuring that every family who walks through their doors feels supported during life’s most stressful pet moments.
