Meet Any Movie Stars Lately?

On May 31, Colin Farrell and Terrence Howard visited Merion to film a scene from Dead Man Down on the 300 block of Brookway Road.

Dead Man Down is an action film, set for a 2013 release, starring Colin Farrell, Terrence Howard, Dominic Cooper, and original Girl With The Dragon Tattoo star Noomi Rapace. A film description on IMDb reads: "In New York City, a crime lord's right-hand man is seduced by one of his boss's victims, a woman seeking retribution."

The crew filmed in Philadelphia throughout May, and came to Merion for one day of shooting, on Thursday, May 31.

Patch reader Chris Dorian sent us this photo of Farrell posing with her son, Alex, and several other neighborhood kids from N. Bowman Ave. in Merion. 

Dorian said:

Farrell's trailer was across the street and he came out and agreed to take the pictures. It was his birthday that day (Thurs) and my neighbors - the ones that his trailer was parked right in front of - put up a Happy Birthday sign in their front window and gave him a card. They let us watch them film on Brookway and everyone was quite nice. Terrence Howard made sure all the neighborhood kids got a turn to take a photo with him and he signed autographs.
