Memorial Services Planned For Late LMHS Principal Sean Hughes
The Hughes family and the Lower Merion School District are have set memorial events and funeral services for the beloved longtime principal.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Memorial and funeral services have been set for the late Lower Merion High School Principal Sean Hughes.
Events are planned for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
Hughes died at age 51 following a crash Saturday morning in New Jersey. He was principal at Lower Merion High School for 14 years.

The Lower Merion School District will hold a memorial event at 1 p.m. Saturday at Lower Merion High School, 315 E. Montgomery Ave. in Ardmore.
The event will only be open to district staff and current Lower Merion High School students. Students and staff to wish to attend should sign up via a registration link by noon Friday. Guests invited by the Hughes family will also attend.

For all others, a livestream of the event will be featured on the district website here.
Attendees can park at the high school; Lower Merion Township Building, 75 E. Lancaster Ave.; Main Line Reform Temple, 410 Montgomery Ave.; and Suburban Square. Shuttle buses will run between those locations and the high school from noon to 12:45 p.m., and again after the conclusion of the tribute.
On Sunday, the Hughes family is holding a public viewing. The viewing will take place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at St. Eleanor Catholic Church, 647 Locust St. in Collegeville.
Parking for the viewing will be available behind and to the side of the church, as well as on the neighboring residential streets.
Then on Monday, the Hughes family and close friends will gather for a viewing at 10 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Eleanor's.

Interment will be private.
The Hughes family is requesting donations be sent to the Sean A. Hughes Children's Trust, P.O. Box 342, Skippack, PA, 19474-0342 in lieu of flowers.
