New Career for Retired Orthopaedic Surgeon, Karl Rosenfeld, M.D.
The List, my first novel, is a murder mystery/serial killer thriller with my name on the cover. There are others with the same title.
During the Covid quarantine, I began writing The List, a murder mystery/serial killer tale that takes place in Mt. Kisco, N.Y., a place where Detective Michael McLaughlin has moved to to escape chasing these monsters when he worked for the NYPD. By the time he arrives at his new job, two young women have been sexually molested and killed. McLaughlin accepts his new assignment and begins searching for the killer. Along the way, he falls in love with the town's mayor meeting her through her German shepherd, gets involved in a few scrapes, and thinks he's finally identified the culprit ... until he hasn't. Fans of Dirty Harry, work out devotees, and dog lovers will enjoy The List. The book has been well received and is available on Amazon, Kindle, and the Barnes and Nobel web site.
I never imagined after retiring from practice that writing crime novels, which I enjoy reading, awaited me. I'm currently working on the sequel. Again, if this if of interest, look for my name, Karl Rosenfeld, on the book's cover.
