Pa. Unemployment Rate at Lowest Since March 2008
The state unemployment rate remains lower than the national unemployment rate.

Pennsylvania’s unemployment rate in December 2014 fell to 4.8 percent, the lowest it has been since March 2008, the state Department of Labor and Industry announced.
The state unemployment rate was down 2.0 percentage points from December 2013, the Department of Labor and Industry said.
By comparison, the U.S. unemployment rate in December was 5.6 percent, and was down 1.1 percentage points from December 2013.
