Police Activity: 8 Fires, 2 DUIs

In the past week, the police calls (which do not necessarily indicate arrests were made or charges filed) include:

• 2 suicide attempts
• 1 attempted burglary, on the 200 block of Idris Road in Overhill at 9:33 a.m. Monday, March 26
• 2 arrests for DUI: at 12:38 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, at Merion Road and Sycamore Avenue in Merion Station; and at 12:49 a.m. Friday, March 30, on the 400 block of West Montgomery Avenue in Haverford
• 8 fires
• 2 incidents of fraud
• 4 car accidents with injuries
• 17 car accidents with property damage
• 3 citations for public drunkenness
• 2 rescues
• 1 arrest for simple assault, at 1:44 p.m. Sunday, April 1, on the first block of Berwick Road in Merion Station
• 10 thefts
